Wine Tasting at Sweetwater Center for the Arts: Rhone Diaspora

The Naked Grape and Sweetwater are teaming up again to offer this exciting new wine tasting class. The Rhone varietals from France, both the famous red and lesser known white, have traveled the world, sparking excitement in Australia with Shiraz and in California with Syrah (the same grape as Shiraz) and the white Viognier, among other grapes. If you've enjoyed the Aussie examples, but haven't explored the original wines that influenced those wine makers, you're in for a delightful surprise. We will explore the intriguingly different styles these grapes have taken in the various parts of the Old and New worlds. Materials fee included in the tuition.
